Signs Angels Are Connecting With You

Angel girl

Can you feel when your angels are around you? Do you know the signs when angels are communicating with you?

Angels are spiritual beings, they are not ghosts, but benevolent celestial beings who interact between God or heaven and earth. They are God’s creations as messengers, and therefore, they have not evolved from once human form.

Angels are always around us whether we believe in them or not, whether we are aware of them or not. Angels will never impose on our Free Will, so if you wish to talk to or ask something of your angels, all you have to do is speak to them either verbally out loud or silently within your mind. They can hear us and if we are tuned in with them, they will often show up in some form when we need them.

How Will We Know Our Angels are Around?

There are often signs that an angel or a lost loved one is visiting or has left a message. These signs can be anything from feeling an unexpected temperature change around you, a familiar scent that comes about that has no relevance to the natural scent in your particular surroundings, finding a white feather on your path, through dreams, something falling off a shelf for no particular reason, or even angels appearing as a human form, taken as a complete stranger, and music – that certain song that will play on the radio in a particular moment you may be thinking about someone you relate that song with.

Most people have one sense that is more prominent than another when it comes to sensing the presence of angels. Some people actually see visions of angels. I have never had the honor to see one of these presences, but I do have other senses that pick up on energies. For me. it’s by scent and by touch. I have had two people I loved very much, now in heaven, come to visit me on several occasions, my father and my Aunty Sherry. When they visit me I can smell the room being taken over by the scent of my aunt’s perfume or the smell of a smoke-filled room with the scent of my father’s favorite cigarette brand. It’s uncanny and sometimes not easy to explain to others but it’s true.

I also can feel my body go cold and sometimes shiver when I sense a presence around me. I’ve been physically touched by spirits, and I also receive messages through my intuition, especially if something bad is going to happen, it’s like a warning sign that comes over me in the pit of my stomach – a feeling of doom. I’ve also received messages in my dreams that I make note of to try and analyze what the message portends.

Anyone can tune into their angels by tuning into themselves. You must keep an open mind and heart and be ready and willing to receive.

Watch this video and learn about the myriad of ways angels communicate with us. There are many signs used to attract our attention such as: Music, numbers, feathers, coins, clouds, butterflies, birds, sparks of light and more! Later on in my angel series we will get more specific about some of these many methods of communication, but for now, check out this video for a little taster on the many means angels use to communicate with us.

Have you had any close encounters with angels?

Debby Gies is one of the talented and spiritual writers for The Sisters of Fey. It is easy to dismiss unusual events or your own instinctive feelings but sometimes it is worth having an open mind. I know that there have been times in my life when I have been about to do something incredibly stupid or even risky. Something pulled me back and whilst you could put it down to common sense… I am not sure that was firing on all cylinders at the time… but perhaps there was someone else looking out for me.. head over and share your experiences with Debby and the other Sisters of Fey..

    1. Thanks so much sis. I told you I’m on a tear preparing upcoming posts and knew I wanted to contribute here too since I’ve been gone so long. I hope others find it assuring too. ❤ Big hugs! xx

  2. Wonderful post, Deb. I never tire of learning about angels. I’ve had many encounters, in all the ways you mentioned. The one I appreciate the most is sensing them near me. And catching a familiar scent can be startling, but oh, so comforting. Our friends are human angels. You and all the Sisters here are among them ❤❤❤

  3. Debby, this is a wonderful article. I’m been reading so much the past 7-8 months about angels since I stopped breathing and my heart stopped on August 28, 2017. Someone, some presence returned me to this life … for a reason. Since then the angels have guided me to Reiki and healing others, especially those suffering from Auto Immune diseases, which you and I have both had to learn to work through with the blessings of our faith and the angels who dwell in ethereal planes and walk upon this earth in identities where they may not even know their whispered missions. Thank you for this inspiring piece of research and encouragement. Your loving heart and soul is expressed in this beautiful literary achievement. –Deborah, Your Twin in so many ways.

    1. Ahhhh, you are truly a sister. Many of us suffer from auto-immune issues. I lost my thyroid gland and have massive allergies and asthma. I wonder what the chances are for empathic people having these issues? Probably high. We operate on a different frequency, and even string theory validates that point. Our sensitivities are that outcome. Healers unite! ❤

      1. Now you raise an interesting question Colleen. Surely those of us with empathic abilities take in a lot of toxicity throughout our lifetime. It would make sense that parts of us get injured in the process. ❤

      2. Allergies and “sensitive” (especially empaths) women seem to go hand-in-hand, unfortunately, or maybe fortunately? How could we ease the world’s pain if we did not feel it?

    2. Debbbbbbb, my twinnie you are!!!! That’s what happened to me. When it was discovered there was a tumor on my heart, I felt as though I was suddenly on a cliff’s edge. It was so easy to plunge into the abyss of darkness, but that is precisely the time I got involved with my angels, and they were truly the ones who saved me in more ways than one. It was Archangel Michael who rescued me a few times and Raphael who helped me heal. ❤

      1. Gabriel and Uriel have always been with me in spirit quests, but as a child I grew up in a nicely haunted house. Of course, at seven years old, you just think all this is natural and everyone sees the “others”. I evidently had petite mall episodes, not as strong as seizures I don’t think, but no one ever knew, except grandma. This pre-civil war log house, mansion-size for its time frame, had a cannon ball in it, antique paintings hidden in an out building … obviously brothers in uniform, one Union, one Rebel; how sad. I only had these spells at night and I grew out of them, I think. When I was grasped with terror and the electric sparks or roiling massive mounds were suffocating me, grandma would sit with me, talk to me, calm me. She would stroke my hair, speak softly, make the terror go away or at least be bearable. My Grandmother Hovance and Grandma Bowman didn’t live with us. I only told my one brother about grandma. Years laters, the furnace system was being replaced in the basement. My brother came to get me. The old ducts were labeled when torn down from the ceiling. The duct to my room had big letters on the back side of it, “Grandma’s Room”. Thank you, grandma.

  4. I have several, and I’m honored by their presence. My Great Aunt Helen, my guardian angel who saved me from a car accident (I really shouldn’t be here), my Nana, her perfume, always around her birthday, my father-in-law and my dad, again, around their birthdays. I love it! We have a spirit in the house, too, but I don’t know who it is. Gets in my way a lot. Any ideas?? 🙂

    1. Thanks for sharing your wonderful occurrences here with us Dorinda. Sounds as though we are both clairesentient when it comes to sensing spirit around. I’m not sure about ghostbusting, you may have to do a little digging on the history of your home to find out more. My own sister had a spirit living in her house all the 33 years she lived there. The house was originally owned by our family, so no history there, only, before the house was built there, it was all farmland, so who knows who inhabited it. 🙂

    2. Dorinda, Love the spirit if it is friendly or at least, non-caustic. Let “her” (somehow female just came to me) know through telepathy or the frequency of your voice that she is loved, protected, and accepted if she wishes to remain, but also lovingly tell her there is so much more in the light beyond. Encourage her to go for her own sake, but that you will always be there for her in her/your home or in the beyond. Do not fear the chill of her presence. She can’t change that, but tell her of the healing warmth of the ethereal light. Blessed be…

      1. Great advice Deb. I told my sister to talk to the ghost lady who lived in her house too, and try to help her cross over. I don’t think she wanted to leave though, I wrote a story about ‘The Lady’ and featured on Sue Vincent’s blog. My sister and I believe (from the shadow images on the walls and the imprint left after a fire) that the lady had lost a child in that home and that’s why she stays. 🙂

  5. I get the shivers too and learned to recognise that it was spirit. What a beautiful post sister. Yesterday we were watching something on the t.v. when a number card was held up. 4656. that was my Mum’s old telephone number. I just looked up and said “Hi mum, love you.”

    1. I must smile at this… My father ripples my warm bath water when he wants to let me know he’s thinking of me. My father-in-law, whom I never met, cracks open the door on the armoire when he’s saying “Hi”. He thinks his son chose well… Lol

  6. I had my chair in my bedroom fall down for no apparent reason recently, could this have been angels? I often hear strange noises in our house especially if I’m alone. It’s an interesting topic thanks for sharing Debby. 🙂

Healing and believing in more than just ourselves, in the Universe, in the ethereal planes, in the Healer within our own being may be guiding Angels, spirit angels, divine beings, heavenly/earthly hosts. Canadian Writer and researcher D.G. Kaye shares her experiences and knowledge with us to show us there is so much more to life and health than we may realize. Thanks, Debby.

  8. Angels can be so very comforting. We are never alone and that in and of itself is calming in the middle of a storm. Thank you for sharing this piece on Angels. Yes, it is wonderful to get visits from loved ones on the other side. And, they are REAL!

  9. Such an interesting post, Debby, and the comments are equally fascinating as readers share their experiences. I’m not attached to the idea of angels as they bring up biblical paradigms that I find limiting, but I do believe that I only understand the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the invisible world of spirit (and everything else. Lol). I’m looking forward to continued posts on this topic. ❤

  10. I believe angels are around us at all times and they use people, animals, nature and objects (almost anything really) to relay their messages. We just have to be open to receive those messages. Lovely post, Debby!

  12. Loved this segment on angels! My mother was an earth angel. She’s not with us in the physical world anymore, but I often see her in white. I’ve always been sensitive and it wasn’t until later on in life that I figured out why I saw or felt things. Tiny white feathers sometimes appear and I know my husband’s mother is near. I find coins a lot! I believe my father leaves them for me. When I was diagnosed with cancer, the radiation lab stayed open late for me because of my work. My first day, I laid on the table and something told me I was going to be okay. When the techs came back into the room they asked if I walked with a cane. I said, no, but wanted to know why. After I had checked in, they checked the waiting room for the last time of the day and found a cane with a name scratched in the paint. The name was Brian Bradley. After telling them that my dad’s name is Byron Bradley, they asked me if I wanted to take it home, but I didn’t because I didn’t want someone to go without their cane even though I knew it was my father’s handiwork. For seven weeks, they looked at patient rosters for the owner and called the number on the cane. It belonged to no one. So, on my final day of radiation, I asked if they still had it because I’d thought about it every day. The receptionist had it beneath her desk and said, “I can’t give this thing away.” Without hesitation, they gave it to me. It now has a home in my office. I even wrote the experience into a novel, my first publication. We may not be able to see the wings that carry us, but I know they’re there.

      1. I know right Colleen? I love that our blog allows others to share their experiences here too. Some people aren’t in tune with the spirit world and don’t always understand the signs and messages, so it’s great that others feel comfortable in sharing here. ❤

    1. Wow! Thank you for sharing that fascinating and heartwarming story with us here Linda. No doubt your father had a hand in your well being. I love stories like that. Also, besides the fact that angels leave messages for us, I find it such a gift that you actually know just who is leaving these messages behind for you whether coins, feathers or anything else. 🙂

  13. I haven’t had any encounters with angels that I know of. I”m open to encounters of any kind. Sometimes, I have a clumsy day, where I drop everything and I wonder whether anyone is trying to tell me something.

The feeling of doom you describe, Debby, is very familiar to me, especially these weeks. I also have vivid dreams, and sometimes have an intuition that something will go wrong. Sometimes, I have a feeling of deja-vu, or, when I learn about something that just happened, I feel I already knew about that somehow. Not sure whether it is angels, but I believe it could be some kind of spirit or special sense.

    1. Wow, you definitely have a gift Liesbet. Your intuition antennae are definitely on alert. I would think that some of those inexplicable moments could be messages. I get that deja vu thing a lot! Messages come in many forms, not always something physical we find but I do believe that intuition is a big part of knowing the unknown. 🙂
Thanks for visiting us here. ❤

  14. Fascinating stuff, Debby! I find a lot of multiple numbers of ones or threes coming up on my clock at night. I wake up to look at the clock for no reason and see 333 or 111 or other multiples.
I find pennies a lot on the ground in many different places I go.
Music is another thing I hear in my head and wake up humming a tune.

I feel I must have a lot of angels watching over me. I recently had a close call at a theater I was at. I went upstairs to use the bathroom and came out to go back downstairs. However, the marble stairs were full of people coming up on both sides. I waited a second for an opening on the right to go down. As I stepped forward to reach out for the railing my left foot left the stair and felt air. I thought I was going to fall down these marble stairs and break in many pieces but a hand came out beside me and gripped my arm and held me until I got hold of the railing. I thanked this woman for saving me from a horrible fall. She just nodded and disappeared behind me. I looked for her but she was nowhere to be found. I think she was an angel.

I went back to my seat next to my husband and told him about my near fall. He just shook his head. He is used to hearing all kinds of things like this from me. Too many close calls. I wonder how many lives I have left.

This is the first time I’ve see this site. I will visit again. Hugs xx

    1. Oh Janice, thanks for sharing your magical moments. Yes indeed, you are protected by angels. Your story about the stairs literally gave me goosebumps as I read. You sound a lot like me with your experiences. I can’t even count anymore how often each day I see triple digits. I can’t even call it coincidence because it’s a regular part of my day to look up at the clock and see them. I don’t remember the last time a day passed without seeing 11:11! I’m so glad you found us here and look forward to sharing more with you. ❤ xx
